Double Page Spread Analysis #4 Classic Rock

Today, I am going to analysis a Classic Rock magazine, and it features the artist Audioslave. This double page spread includes more picture than article, with only a small section of the spread devoted to the article. The large image is black and white which the rest of the spread mimics, and this makes the image a lot more dramatic. The title is quite small, and is a pun of the name of the band. Like the other double page spreads I have looked at, there is a subheading and a drop capital. I like the use of the subheading being almost like a paragraph in its self. There is also a caption for the picture, and at the bottom left of the spread the page number and the name of the magazine.
The conventions I would consider using from this double page spread would be the idea of having the page number and name of magazine featured at the bottom left of the page, as this is where everyone expects it to be, and it looks neat. I would also include the caption for my main picture as this would be helpful to the reader as it adds more information about the artist. The conventions that I wouldn't include would be how small everything is. The picture takes up most of the room and the text used ends up being squashed. The title is way too small to even look like a title, so I will be making mine a lot bigger.
